We are delighted to announce that HM Chartered Accountants Partner, Angela Craigan, has been elected Chairperson of the Chartered Accountants Ulster Society at its 119th Annual General Meeting.
Representing more than 5,900 Chartered Accountants across Northern Ireland, the Ulster Society plays a vital role in supporting members, promoting professional excellence, and championing the contribution of Chartered Accountants to the local economy and wider society. Angela's appointment is a significant achievement and reflects her longstanding commitment to the profession, her leadership within HM Chartered Accountants, and her dedication to supporting businesses and communities across Northern Ireland.
Having worked with HM Chartered Accountants for the past 24 years, Angela has built a reputation as a trusted adviser and leader, helping clients navigate challenges, identify opportunities, and achieve sustainable growth. Her election as Chairperson is not only a proud moment for Angela personally, but also for our entire team.
Speaking at the AGM, Angela outlined her theme for the year ahead: "Difference Makers". The theme recognises the important role Chartered Accountants play in helping businesses grow, organisations succeed, communities thrive, and opportunities flourish.
Reflecting on her appointment, Angela said:

As trusted business advisers, Chartered Accountants continue to provide leadership, insight and expertise across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Last week, members of the HM Chartered Accountants team had the pleasure of attending Angela's presentation at Custom House in Belfast, where she shared her vision for the year ahead as Chairperson. It was an inspiring event that reinforced the positive impact our profession has on businesses, organisations and communities throughout Northern Ireland. The presentation also highlighted the opportunities that lie ahead for the profession and the important role Chartered Accountants will continue to play in supporting economic growth and innovation.
