We are delighted to see our Partner, Angela Craigan FCA, featured in the latest edition of Business Eye Magazine, following her appointment as Chairperson of Chartered Accountants Ulster Society.
In the feature, Angela discusses her ambitions for the year ahead and the theme she has chosen for her term as Chairperson – “Difference Makers.”
The theme reflects Angela’s desire to highlight the important contribution Chartered Accountants make every day, not only within the profession but across Northern Ireland’s wider economy and communities.
Chartered Accountants work across businesses and organisations of every size and sector, helping them to grow, navigate challenges, create opportunities and make informed decisions. Through “Difference Makers”, Angela hopes to celebrate this contribution and shine a light on the positive impact members of the profession are making.
Angela also highlights the important role Chartered Accountants have to play in Northern Ireland’s economic future.
With businesses continuing to navigate changing economic conditions, new technologies and evolving expectations, the skills and expertise within the profession have an increasingly important part to play in supporting sustainable growth and strengthening organisations.
A key priority for Angela during her year as Chairperson will also be looking to the future of the profession and encouraging the next generation to consider Chartered Accountancy as a career.
For Angela, this means demonstrating the breadth of opportunities available and showing young people that a career in Chartered Accountancy can give them the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, within businesses, organisations and their wider communities.
Angela’s appointment as Chairperson is a significant achievement and one we are incredibly proud of at HM Chartered Accountants.
Her theme of “Difference Makers” reflects many of the values we see across the profession every day – people using their expertise, experience and insight to support businesses, strengthen organisations and contribute positively to the Northern Ireland economy.
We look forward to supporting Angela throughout her year as Chairperson and seeing the “Difference Makers” theme develop over the months ahead.
